Impact of leadership competencies on organizational learning and organizational performance in the tourism sector
Abstract
The study aims to identify and evaluate the factors constituting leadership competencies impacting organizational learning and organizational performance in order to suggest some policy implications to develop leadership competencies and human resources in the tourism sector of the Mekong Delta region. This study used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart-PLS software on a sample of 400 leaders and managers working in various types of businesses in the field of tourism in the regions. The results of data analysis show that elements of leadership competencies include: Results oriented (ROR), Cognitive (COG), and interpersonal (INT) have positive impacts on organizational learning and organizational performance in the tourism sector of the region. Among competencies, cognitive has an impact on organizational learning, interpersonal has an impact on organizational performance, and results-oriented impact on both organizational learning and organizational performance.
