OLEG NEGRUTSA’S CONCERTOS AS REFLECTION OF THE DIALOGUE OF STYLES OF DIFFERENT EPOCHS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF CONCERTO GROSSO AND CONCERTO FOR VIBRAPHONE/MARIMBA WITH ORCHESTRA)
Abstract
The famous Moldovan composer Oleg Negrutsa is the author of fifteen concertos for various instruments. This article discusses two of them — Concerto grosso „In Old Style" for flute, violin, cello, harpsichord and string orchestra and Concerto for vibraphone/marimba and string orchestra. These concertos are very different in many ways, but in both of them the composer demonstrates the principles of working on models, where the first concerto is an example of stylization of the concerto grosso genre and old suite, but the second one reproduces the features of a classic-romantic concerto.
