There is no doubt that the Islamic Sharia proceeded all legislations in talking about the protection of natural resources which have no direct relation to hostilities. All this has been in the Islamic Sharia basic rules which was applied on the ground. These Islamic rules meet with the principles of the International Humanitarian Law in many cases which all aim at the end to preserve the human dignity in life and death. All these rules also include the protection of natural resources at times of conflicts as Islamic Sharia and International Humanitarian Law provide for the protection of resources and money as well as long as there is no military necessity as in the Geneva conventions and other Islamic rules. In case of any violation this is not allowed. Islamic Sharia and International Humanitarian Law allow in terms of military necessity sabotage and targeting of natural resources and if there is no risk there is no military necessity.
