THE PRACTICE OF BODY EXPRESSION-DANCE AND PHENOMENOLOGY IN THE CONSTITUTION OF THE NOTIONS OF SPATIALITY AND TEMPORALITY
Abstract
Time and Space are conceived as perceptions or perceptive constructions of a subject that is in and through the world in which it exists, configuring it at the same time that it constitutes its subjectivity. This is how the temporal-spatial consciousness and the possibility of developing knowledge about space and time occur in the inter-linkage between what is typical of the lived world, the others and the corporeal reality itself. The Body-Dance Expression defines its field of knowledge in human conditions, spatiality and temporality are two of them. This article addresses what refers to the invariables of these notions as aspects or functions of human subjectivity and subjectivation in connection with the exercise of this artistic discipline and expressive language. It begins with the analysis carried out on them by Merleau-Ponty through the Phenomenology, understanding space and time in close ties with human corporeal existence. In putting this discussion into action, the statements of the students attending the "Corporal Expression Workshop" -subject of the careers of the Department of Initial Education of the Faculty of Humanities of the National University of the Northeast- are presented, as information that enables dimension the impact or not, that, during the process of constructing expressive body language, the perceptions of space and time put into play have had on them.
