We introduce a general and effective strategy for selecting and controlling nonuniform coherence structures to further improve fiber-coupling efficiency (FCE) of nonuniformly randomly structured beams in turbulence. Our results show that adjusting the weight distribution of such beams is the key to mastering the strategy. Selecting the beams with weight distribution concentrated at short/long focal length modes possess higher/lower maximum FCE, which is suitable for short/long-distance transmission situations. Furthermore, adjusting the initial coherence length and beam order of the selected beam will help users further improve the FCE.
