Aproximación a la historia del barrio San José como estrategia para la enseñanza de las ciencias sociales. 1940-2011

Abstract

The objective of the research is a first approach to the history of San José neighborhood community located in the city of Maracaibo,contextualized with regional and national reality, which seeks to be used as a strategy for teaching the social sciences. Qualitative methodology that focuses on the human aspects was used,with a bibliographical revision that also took input from key informants to reconstruct collective memory, also the historical method and methodical oral history was used. The history of San José district revealed the identity of its inhabitants,and the consolidation of community spaces,which allow you strengthen links students with their local environment.
