A EDUCAÇÃO CARTOGRÁFICA NA FORMAÇÃO DO PROFESSOR DE GEOGRAFIA EM PERNAMBUCO
Abstract
The article presents the results of a research carried out with the objective of analysing the formation of geography teachers in Pernambuco regarding cartographic content. It was verified that although the laws of Guidelines and Basis of Education and National Curriculum Parameters for Geography Courses indicate that the concepts linked to Cartography should be contemplated as thematic axes, the same does not occur in the curriculum matrices of the researched courses. From the data collected in faculties and public schools, it is observed that there is a direct relationship between knowledge acquired by the professor durind his formation and the knowledge transmitted to the student.
