To obtain the necessary quality in the lateritic ore that is processed at Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara nickel plant, it was designed an integrated system of mining exploitation. This system conceives a technology for the natural drying of the mineral which has important advantages, but it has restrictions that limit its efficient implementation. In this paper, we propose the modifications that make possible to mitigate the limitations of technology, from the systematization of previous results obtained in simulation, modeling, and optimization of natural drying. The proposed innovations, integrally implemented, will improve the planning, execution and control of the process and, therefore, improving the natural drying technology of the laterites.
