Riches for Charity as a Way of Serving God (Luke 16:1-13)

Abstract

The article analyses the parable of the unjust steward. By disentangling the specific narrative roles of the main characters in the story as well as by connecting the narrative with the context, the article underlines the meaning of the parable as a prophetic critique of the community members, including Pharisees, to open their lives to one another, since the goods cannot bear life through individualistic hedonism but only through forming of the community.
