Skills of construction project managers: Case study in a construction company in the city of São Paulo

Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify the competences of project managers that determined positive or negative results in a construction company in the city of São Paulo. Through a case study and interviews with managers and their subordinates, it was possible to identify the main behavioral competencies that influenced the results of the projects. The study contributed to the issue of the behavioral determinants of project performance and allowed managers to predict the behavioral requirements for success in projects.
