Active pore materials based on sludges of Cr-Ni alloy electrochemical machining
Abstract
Physico-chemical and adsorption-structural properties of the Cr-Ni alloy product elec- trochemical machining (EM) subjected to thermo treatment within temperature interval 100-950o C are considered. Using X-rays diffraction and DTA data the original EM product was established to be amorphous nickel hydroxide with little amount of nickel and iron oxides. Thermo treatment of the products leads to the changes both in their chemical and phase composition and their adsorption-structural properties. The isotherms of methanol adsorption-desorption by the products treated under different conditions were constructed. The values of specific surface and adsorption pore volume of the samples were calculated from the isotherm data. On the base of Ni-Cr alloy EM sludge new various pore inorganic materials with different composition and crystal structure have been obtained, which can be used as adsorbents for removing of different toxic admixtures from water solutions and as catalysts in some chemical reactions at synthesis of some organic compounds.
