Purpose: To examine quality of life, psychological well-being and self-efficacy in young females with breast cancer. Participants: 37 patients with breast cancer (average age = 36,54; SD=2,85). Measures: WHOQOL-bref, general health questionnaire-12 and general self-efficacy scale. Results: Pearson's correlation showed positive and significantly correlations among quality of life, well-being and selfefficacy. t test revealed that female who had undergone a total mastectomy had better environment quality of life than female submitted to a partial mastectomy. Linear regression analysis indicated that well-being and self-efficacy were significant predictors of total quality of life, explaining 48.4% of the variance. Thus, it was observed the importance of positive psychological variables like well-being and self-efficacy to quality of life in these patients.
