The objective of this article is to analyze the strategies for the real estate sector in the Manta canton from the perspective of the resolutions taken in the New Urban Agenda 2016, Habitat III. Cities are a symbol of the modernity of society. The concept of sustainable development associated with the real estate and construction sector constitutes a strategic area from the point of view of the economic activation and well-being of people, allows for better practices in construction, equity, innovation and sustainability and contributes to the development of competitive cities , integrated and efficient in the use of resources. For the development of the investigation, owners of real estate and construction companies of the Manta and Manta-Montecristi canton, Manta-Jaramijó, Province of Manabí, Ecuador, were consulted. A questionnaire was applied with Likert scale response categories. The information was distributed in three sections: economic dimension, social dimension and environmental dimension. The results show that real estate entrepreneurs identify weakness in the application of the strategies proposed in the Urban Agenda. Proposals are proposed for public administration and the real estate sector. It is concluded that there is no satisfactory sustainable development.
