STUDY OF COGNITIVE STYLES AND PERSONALITY OF THE STUDENTS OF A POST GRADUATE PROGRAM IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERDISCIPLINARITY

This study aims to identify the characteristics of styles of cognition and personality of students in a Post Graduate Program, mapping the most striking features. The instrument used was a questionnaire assessing personality based on Jungs psychological types. The sample consisted of 42 PhD students and 20 Masters Program Graduate Engineering and Knowledge Management-EGC-UFSC. It was found that: (a) there was no predominance of a personality style among students respondents, (b) the results demonstrate the preponderance of intuition (N) as a common feature more pronounced in students respondents, (c) the psychological type ESTJ was not defined as student profile program, and (d) shows the result for its diversity of profiles, the interdisciplinary nature of the program students constituents.Keywords: Cognitive Styles.
