ESQUADRO E COMPASSO: MODOS DO PENSAR CRIADOR EM “CURTAMÃO” DE GUIMARÃES ROSA (SQUARE AND COMPASSES: THE WAYS OF CREATIVE THINKING IN GUIMARÃES ROSA’S CURTAMÃO)

Abstract

“Curtamão”, one of the short stories of Tutaméia (1967) by Guimarães Rosa, brings about the theme of the creator that is the artisan of his work, and that has poetry and art as his motivation. The foundation of his writingwork is defined through his love for poetry and for the language elements that help him build it. The idea of a literary project carefully planned in the author’s work becomes evident in the allegory of the construction of a house, literary work in a continuous dynamics and established as a permanent project in favor of man.
