Abstract
Ana Rosa Kucinski Silva, lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil), had her academic career violently interrupted in April 1974 when was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by the repression forces of the military dictatorship (1964-1985). Since then, papers and books were written about her, emphasizing her political activities but much less is known on her academic activities. Fifty years after her disappearance, this work aims to contribute to fill this gap.
