Caracterización pluviométrica y distribución del Amaranthus en México

The amaranth, Amaranthus spp since the prehispanic time is a vegetable resource. For the last decade was studied a lot will an alternative crop for those country areas, were temporary agriculture o droughts and precipitation is the only source hydric to maintain them. The conclusion of the analysis that is doing know for the first productive species of seeds A. hypochondriacus and A. cruentus has to be extended mainly in those areas who receive between 700 and 1 200 mm of concentrate precipitation in the summer mainly; but for the species to be consumed like a vegetable A. hybridus, A. retroflexus, A. dubius and others ones, the best places for them has to receive more than 1 300 mm of precipitation.
