mapping using the basic education II: contributions to the Geography
Abstract
The school mapping constitutes an important tool for the study of geographical space as it is for the representation of facts and phenomena observed at the surface. Based on this understanding, thisarticle offers a reflection on the cartographic approach in teaching elementary school. It focuses particularly on the meaninglessness that often acquires cartographic language in schools, leading to seriousdeficiencies in the teaching of Geography. The thread running through from the origin and evolution of cartography to its insertion in geographical science.
