Les stratégies glottopolitiques de quelques auteurs algériens d’expression française : quels positionnements face aux langues ?

Abstract

Based on a corpus of interviews conducted with four Francophone Algerian authors (Djamel Mati, Lazhari Labter, Katia Hacene and Chawki Amari), this article aims to explore the glottopolitical strategies adopted by each one of them. The relationship between languages, as well as the relationship with languages, is approached in the light of Hirschman’s model. The way in which these authors get involved in the sociolinguistic dynamics taking place in the Algerian context is analyzed in relation to three modalities: Exit, Voice and Loyalty.
