Purpose. The article is devoted to the activities of international organizations in the Arctic region in order to establish and justify ways to harmonize international interstate interaction and develop an international legal framework for cooperation and mutual assistance in the sphere of prevention and response to emergency situations in the Arctic. Methodology. The basis of the research are general scientific methods, and also the methods of formal legal and comparative legal analysis. Results.
