By the revenue brought by it, flower and plant wholesaling actively contributes to increase transaction volumes on a national level. Each participant develops its activity in a dynamic and competitive environment. Market-active traders are characterised by the variation of the participating companies, the turnover ratio, the served market segment, as well as the global market share or the market share served by flower and plant Romanian wholesale leaders. Evaluating the competitive position of the participant is a complex activity that is characterised by the use of a set of information, methods and work instruments. Using the turnover ratio as an indicator allows us to determine the competitiveness of a market participant at a given time, by using the market share indicator. If the sector is more dynamic than the analysed entity, the entity’s market share will fall as a result of either a higher growth rate of an already existing competitiveness, or following the arrival of new competitors or the summing of the two.
