During the ten-year period from 2008 to 2019 lidar observations of the stratospheric aerosol in Tomsk were carried out at the high-altitude sounding station of the IOA SB RAS. During this period, it was possible to register layers of volcanic aerosol resulting from the eruption of a number of volcanoes. The method of Lagrangian trajectories of air mass movement in the atmosphere based on satellite measurements of wind speed in the Northern Hemisphere made it possible to relate data from lidar ground-based observations of the upper troposphere and stratosphere in Tomsk and Vladivostok, CALIOP space lidar data and satellite information from the GOME-2 instrument distribution of sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere of the Northern Hemisphere. In this work, this is shown by the example of the eruption of the Kasatochi and Nabro volcanoes.
