Documentos para el estudio de la explotación de la sal en salinas del interior durante el siglo XV: Cuatro pergaminos sobre el Estanque de Ivars y Vila-sana (1431)

Abstract

In this article we publish four documents from the Archives of the Chapter of the Cathedral of Urgell (la Seu de Urgell, Lleida) relating to the purchase of Ivars y Vila-sana Lake by the Chapter of Urgell in 1431. Although the main purpose of the article is the transcription of the documents, we cannot but be interested in the information they provide regarding the history of this lake in the Middle Ages. And so, for example, we can confirm that the main use of the lake at the beginning of the 15th century was the harvesting of salt in periods of drought.
