De la création des Ludi Apollinares à la célébration sévérienne des Ludi saeculares : aspects religieux et politiques de la célébration des jeux à Rome
Abstract
Emphazing the case of the Ludi Apollinares created in 212 BC and the secular Games celebrated by Augustus in 17 BC, Domitian in 88 AD and Septimius-Severus in 204 AD, this paper aims to identify the place of the games as religious festivals in the civic calendar and political life of Rome. The analysis focuses on the contributions of the study of ritualism to the understanding of games as historical objects, highlighting the interactions between power structures and the religious organization of rituals.
