Research status of evaluation and nutrition interventions on frailty in the elderly by Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine (老年衰弱中西医评估及营养干预的研究现状)

Abstract

Frailty is a common geriatric syndrome and drawing more and more attention as increase in aging population. This paper reviewed the recent studies on frailty in the elderly from perspectives of concepts of frailty in the elderly, evaluation tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine, relationship between frailty, sarcopenia and malnutrition and interventions by Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine, in order to provide reference for the diagnosis and nutrition intervention on frailty in the elderly. (衰弱是临床一种常见的老年综合征, 随着老龄化趋势加重, 老年衰弱问题越来越受到重视, 成为研究者关注的焦点。本文通过对近年来国内外发表的文献进行综述, 主要从衰弱的概念, 中西医评估工具, 衰弱、肌少症与营养不良之间的关系及中西医营养干预方面阐述老年衰弱的研究现状, 期望能够为早期识别以及开展更有效的中西医营养干预提供参考。)
