PRIMARY NURSING IMPLICATIONS ON NURSING CARE ASSISTANCE
Abstract
The authors present the method Primary Nursing, which has as principle the elevation of thenurses autonomy, in which he is responsible for the patient 24 hours a day. The also present the function of eachnurse engaged in that process, pointing out the advantages of the method and its implications in the practice. In itsreview, they put results of 07 present works accomplished with the introduction of the Primary Nursing. As finalconsiderations, the state that the Primary Nursing improves the quality of assistance given by the nurse, and itsperformance will mainly depend on the nurses interest, on changing the reference system towards the professionalcompetence.
