Introduction: supernumerary teeth are an alteration that occurs due to the gemmation of the dental lamina and it is caused by an epithelial over-reactivity. They could be erupted partially or totally or could be included in any location of the maxillary area. Case record: 8-year-old masculine patient with supernumerary teeth located in the previous third of the hard palate, which were preventing the eruption of the definitive dentary organs, behind the temporal central incisors teeth. The rest of the oral and systemic clinical exam was normal. The diagnosis was carried out by clinical history and radiology. A surgical procedure for the removal of the supernumerary teeth and orlocathodontic traction of the retained permanent central teeth was carried out. The patient progressed satisfactorily. Conclusion: supernumerary teeth are an infrequent abnormality of the dental development, the inheritance plays an important role in the appearance of supernumerary teeth.
