Abstract
The receptor was not present in the theories of classical criticism, but theories of reception brought him right and give it great importance; because it became the real producer of the text meaning. So the literary authority moved from the writer and the text to the receptor hands, and this new relationship gives texts more lives by his multiple significations. And the authority of the reader was confirmed by critics of the German University (Constance), which give him a special aesthetics (aesthetics of reception). But the reader was an important element in many critical methods as stylistic reading by Riffaterre and semiotics critic by Umberto Eco, and also explained by the views of Jacques Derrida in the deconstruction theory. And finally the theories of reading and reception suggest the historical reader by Hans Robert Jauss, and implied reader by Wolfgang Iser.
