La frontière dans les généalogies du Libro Verde de Aragón
Abstract
The three thousand characters of Libro Verde de Aragón –a genealogical collection describing the descendants of Aragonese Jews converted around 1400– had good reasons of crossing the borders of kingdom of Aragon. But these trips were not of equal importance to all. Some Jews definitively left their native country to escape the inquisitorial repression and the stake. Others left the kingdom of Aragon to marry, to trade, to serve the Crown or the Church. The Libro Verde exceptionally mentions some non-Aragonese settled in Saragossa.
