80th anniversary of Moscow Power Engineering Institute

Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of creation, development and current state of the Moscow Institute of High-Power Engineering (Technical university) and, in particular, its Radioengineering faculty. It describes the structure of REF and its evolution with a mention of the "founding fathers" who have imported the considerable contribution to formation of scientific and pedagogical schools. The principal modern directions of scientific and developmental operations are considered separately.
