Morphological characteristics of fruit sellected types of wild apples in the area of Bijelo Polje
Abstract
1. Obtained results indicate that the population of wild apple are very significant source of genetic variability in the kind. 2. Based on the analysis of three-year investigation results, majority of selected types of wild apples belong to groups of very small fruit. The average fruit wos from 8,95 g (type 9) till 33,65 g (type 2). 3. From the aspect of production of generative rootstock, the most interesting are very small fruit : type 9 (8,95 g), type 5 (11,34 g), type 8 (12,75 g) and type 3 (12,81 g). 4. Type 6 has the larges lenght of the fruit (38,19 mm), but type 9 is the smallest (22,12 mm). Type 2 has the largest width of the fruit (42,81 mm), but type 9 is the smallest (27,78 mm).
