Abstract

Each of us has his own things that he wants to put somewhere that no one else can reach, and sometimes we want to be alone; Therefore, many resort to designing secret rooms, whether to relax or quietly meditate on problems or to have more entertainment and enjoy privacy, these secret rooms are hidden in many creative and innovative ways. If we have valuable possessions or important or rare manuscripts, we need secret drawers and hidden places in the furniture in an innovative way as well. In interior design, hidden storage places are sometimes used for aesthetic purposes to hide some design flaws within architectural spaces. Modern technology has helped invent many ways and methods to design and secure the entrances to these secret rooms and to put design solutions to hide some storage places inside pieces of furniture. We need such studies to face some challenges in the light of the third millennium. Therefore, the idea of the research came to focus on and highlight those aspects and innovative design solutions. The spread of furniture and secret rooms throughout the different stages of history, and the reasons for their design varied, and perhaps the most important of which was what was discovered in ancient civilizations such as the Pharaonic civilization. There are rooms of which played an important role in history; The world is still discovering day after day many secret rooms and doors that have been closed for many centuries.
