Decomposição estrutural da variação do emprego no Brasil, 1991-2003

Abstract

O objetivo do estudo foi analisar a variação do emprego na economia brasileira no período 1991-2003, por meio da decomposição estrutural da variação do emprego em efeito intensidade, efeito tecnologia, efeito estrutura da demanda final e efeito variação da demanda final. Foram, também, estimados os índices de mudança estrutural do emprego, produção e valor adicionado. Os resultados mostraram o deslocamento dos postos de trabalho dos setores agropecuário e industrial para o de comércio e serviços, com aumento do número total de pessoas ocupadas em 7,30 milhões, sendo os efeitos intensidade e variação da demanda final que apresentaram os maiores valores.The aim of this article was to analyze the variation of employment in the Brazilian economy in the period between 1991 and 2003 through the decomposition of structural change in employment intensity effect, technology effect, structure of final demand effect and change in final demand effect. It was also estimated the rates of structural change in employment, production and value added. The results showed the displacement of jobs in industrial and agricultural sectors for trade and services with increase in the total number of people employed in 7.30 million, with the effects of varying intensity and showed that the final demand the highest values.
