Expérience corporelle et changement de comportement en EPS chez les collégiens de l’école Tenindie Doumbia de Bamako
Abstract
Faced with a high frequency of exemptions in physical education (PE) classes, a sports encounter was organized between students of a school catering to children with disabilities and those of Tenindie Doumbia School of Bamako. The study sought to explore the impact of this meeting on students' emotion, motivation, and engagement in PE. The research was conducted in three phases: before, during, and after theencounter, with data collected from guided interviews and a statistical study. The findings revealed a significant transformation in students' perception towards individuals with disabilities, leading to greater admiration, increased respect, and enriched understanding of the techniques and strategies used. Most notably, the study demonstrated a significantimprovement in commitment in PE and respect to teachers. These discoveries highlightedthe potential of inclusive encounters in physical and sports education to promote empathy, engagement, and a more inclusive perspective.
