Culture and art in the battle of Leningrad

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of questions of the development of culture and art during the battle for Leningrad in the Great Patriotic War. The battle for Leningrad lasted 900 days and nights. Defenders and residents of the city, being in blockade, selflessly repulsed the superior forces of the German fascist troops. Despite unprecedented difficulties and hardships, countless casualties and losses, they stood and won. Such a feat does not know the history of wars. More than 75 years have passed since the landmark victory in the Battle of Leningrad (from July 1941 to January 1944). But even today the feat of the Leningraders, the soldiers of the army and the fleet, who defended our northern capital, personifies the military glory of Russia.
