Study on Preparation and Properties of High Temperature Resistant Rutile Coatings
Abstract
For expanding the application of rutile and meeting the market demand for special coatings with high temperature resistance to above 1 000 ℃, the optimal raw material ratio and coating process of high temperature resistant rutile coating were selected and determined through the orthogonal test on the basis of taking the temperature resistance and thermal expansion coefficient of the coating as the main inspection indicators. In addition, the influences of key factors on the high temperature resistance of the coating were studied. Results showed that, under the condition that the mass ratio of micron - level rutile∶hollow microbead powder∶rock fiber∶zircon sand was 45∶40∶10∶5, the mass ratio of sodium Silicate (Module 3)∶potassium fluosilicate was 20∶1, the aging temperature and time were 120 ℃ and 2 h respectively, and the coating thickness was 120 μm, the temperature difference between the two sides of the coating would be 1 050 ℃ after a calcination at 1 200 ℃ on one side for 5 min, and the thermal expansion rate would be 1.1×10-6/℃, indicating that the coating could meet the thermal insulation requirement of the battery pack of new energy vehicles and could be used in thermal power generation.
