Factors Affecting Savings Behavior of the Clients of the Government Saving Bank, Nong Mon Branch, under the COVID-19 Situation

This research studied personal factors, saving behaviors, factors affecting savings, differences between personal factors and saving behaviors, and factors affecting saving behavior forecasts. The data were collected from 34 samples. The results of the personal factor study illustrated that the majority were male, 21-30 years of age, single, with monthly income 10,001-20,000 Baht, and served as company staff and employees; they also had a Bachelor’s Degree. For the saving behavior, it was discovered that they engaged the services between 10.01 AM-11.00 AM, selected the demand deposit with the purpose of reservation for family emergency expenses. The savings were 3,000, 3,001-15,000, and 30,0001 Baht and above, adjusted the savings for future reservation more, and applied My Mo. For the factors affecting savings, it was found that the overall opinions were ranked at a moderate level with a mean of 3.32. The results of differences between personal factors and saving behaviors indicated that a persons status affected the amount of saving, monthly income affected the period of engaging services and amount of saving, and occupation affected the amount of saving. Additionally, age affected the amount of saving, occupation affected using My Mo, and educational level affected the saving purposes. The results as to the factors affecting saving behavior forecast illustrated that the factors of service procedures and sales promotion affected the type of saving with Y2 = 6.323-2.285p6**-1.447p4**. The factors of service procedures and physical nature creation and presentation affected the amount of saving with Y4 = 4.914-1.851p6*-1.287p7*.
