Addressing Weight Stigma in Libraries to Promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Abstract

In Brief: The goal of this paper is to help librarians understand why weight stigma and discrimination are pervasive, the impact they have on people, what interventions have been tried to reduce or prevent weight stigma, and what librarians can do to prevent and reduce weight stigma in libraries.
