Transformation of Precise Local Networks into the National Network Using GPS
Abstract
The precise local survey network with the deep permanent marking of control stations was created for research purposes of the stage observation of the slope slides at localities of reclamation at the sites of the open-cast mines by geodetic and geotechnical methods. The local network is compared with an unique space coordinate system. The connection of the local network to the unique space coordinate system is investigated. If some points of a network are proved unstable. It is necessary to transform the coordinates of such points into an independent reference or the national network. On unstable territories, the only possibility to get the coordinates of some identical points is to employ precise geodetic GPS equipment. The problem then arises that a local network such that the coordinates of its points can be determined with accuracy within circa 1 mm is transformed into points determined with accuracy circa 10 mm in position and 25 mm in height. This paper deals with suitable processes of the transformation.
