Communication and relationships with parents leave their mark on the formation of self-esteem in children. Research shows an interdependence between parent-child communication and self-esteem. The study was conducted on 205 preadolescents. Statistical analysis of the results showed that over 80% of preadolescents have good relationships with parents and high-level communication. At the same time, preadolescents turn to their mother more often for help. From the number of subjects examined, approx. 85% have high and medium self-esteem and only 15% have low self-esteem. The results of the research revealed the following: the lower the level of communication between parent and child, the lower the level of self-esteem in preadolescents.
