Globalization of power

Abstract

Globalization is a phenomenon that dramatically marks the spirit of time at the beginning of the new millennium and significantly shapes the politics, economics and social life of the world, although unequally and with different consequences. The phenomenon of globalization is accompanied by numerous dilemmas. The basic dilemma, certainly, relates to its authentic meaning, i.e. to the question of whether globalization is a threat to the world or the ability to significantly improve it. The concentration of political, economic and military power of the most important interconnected forces directs the formation of a global world order. The paper deals with the most important actors of globalization, since they define the direction and flow of global economic, political and security processes. In this regard, the key role of transnational companies in this phenomenon is especially emphasized, bearing in mind that in the current conditions, the global economic elite has a key role in defining the structure of power in contemporary international relations.
