Psychophysiological and Adaptive Characteristics of Children and Teenagers Living in the Far North
Abstract
The article is devoted to results of the research of psychophysiological and adaptive characteristics of children and teenagers who constantly live in extreme weather conditions in the Far North. It was shown that children and teenagers living at high latitudes are characterized by higher sensorimotor reaction time in comparison to school children of middle latitudes. Results of the RRcardiointervalometry showed that for more than half of the children and teenagers the functional state of the nervous system characterized as “maximum permissible”. Tapping test showed prevalence of weak type of nervous system while the adaptation determined by a state of cardiovascular system was evaluated as satisfactory
