A case report: Recurrent unilateral periorbital cellulitis in a child with ipsilateral dehiscence in the lamina papyracea
Abstract
A 14 months baby presented with left sided periorbital cellulitis. A detailed history revealed he had 2 previous episodes over a 9 months period. All episodes resolved with conventional broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy. Imaging studies revealed a left orbital lamina papyracea dehiscence as a possible predisposing factor for recurrent periorbital cellulitis.
