PEMBERDAYAAN MADRASAH BERBASIS MODAL SOSIAL DI LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN MA’ARIF PONOROGO JAWA TIMUR
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) memaparkan proses pemberdayaan madrasah di lingkungan LP Ma’arif Ponorogo Jawa Timur (2) menggali modal sosial yang dimanfaatkan madrasah di lingkungan LP Ma’arif Ponorogo Jawa Timur dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan; (3) menjelaskan kontribusi modal sosial dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan madrasah di lingkungan LP Ma’arif Ponorogo Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul melalui catatan etnografi direduksi dengan analisis domain, analisis taksonomi, analisis komponen dan menemukan tema budaya model analisa Spradley. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kegiatan pemberdayaan madrasah di lihat dari prosesnya dapat dibedakan menjadi tiga tahapan; a) pembentukan kesadaran; (b) Pengkapasitasan; dan (c) kegiatan pendayaan. (2) Terdapat modal sosial yang beragam pada madrasah di lingkungan LP Ma’arif Ponorogo. Keragaman modal sosial tersebut dapat dibedakan dalam tiga hal; nilai-nilai, jejaring sosial dan kepercayaan (trust) masyarakat. (3) Kontribusi modal sosial dalam pemberdayaan madrasah di lingkungan LP Ma’arif Ponorogo dapat mempengaruhi pencapaian akreditasi, pembentukan budaya organisasi madrasah dan program peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Kata Kunci: pemberdayaan,modal sosial, madrasah, etnografi, lembaga pendidikan Ma’arif THE MADRASAH EMPOWERMENT BASED ON SOCIAL CAPITALS AT MA’ARIF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF PONOROGO, EAST JAVA Abstract The aims of this stduy are: (1) to describe the process of madrasah empowerment at Ma’arif Educational Institution (EI) of Ponorogo, East Java; (2) to explore a variety of social capitals utilized by Ma’arif EI of Ponorogo, East Java, in empowerment activities; and (3) to explain the contributions of social capitals in madrasah empowerment activities at Ma’arif EI of Ponorogo, East Java. This study was an ethnograpic study employing a qualitative approach. It was conducted through a stage of data collection by means of interviews, observations and documentations. The data collected through ethnographic records were reduced by carrying out domain analysis, taxonomy analysis, and component analysis and finding out cultural themes using Spradley’s analysis model. The results of the study are as follows. (1) Madrasah empowerment activities at Ma’arif Educational Institution of Ponorogo in terms of the process can be distinguished into three stages, namely: (a) consciousness formation, (b) capacity building, and (c) empowerment activities. (2) There are a variety of social capital at the madrasah in Ma’arif EI of Ponorogo. The diversity of social capital can be differentiated in three ways: values, social networks and trust of communities. (3) The contribution of social capital in the empowerment of madrasah at Ma’arif EI of Ponorogo may affect the achievement of accreditation, the formation of madrasah organizational culture, and the program of upgrading the quality of education.
