Abstract

Ahmed Tiab's Le Désert ou la mer is a thriller, a heuristic fiction with cognitive virtue that develops under the sign of investigation. The detective novel is a contemporary literary investigation of the migratory phenomenon that appeals to current affairs and facts and emphasizes the tangible signs of human nature. His writing of the investigation gave birth to an investigation in his writing, of the phenomenological order, thus making it possible to grasp the subject in action, in the reality and the concreteness of his experience, to understand clandestine migration through the revelation of the desert or the sea, not from abstract representations, but from life experiences. The objective is to reflect on death and its causes in order to understand its essence.
