El mal fin de Juan de buenalma de Salas Barbadillo: una descriptio personarum entre épica y novela corta

Abstract

The article aims to study the versified short novel El mal fin de Juan de buenalma in Alonso Jerónimo de Salas Barbadillo’s collection Corrección de vicios. On the one hand, it analyses its structure y generic mixture; on the other hand, it examines the main character’s descriptio personarum, which follows the models of encomiastic pseudo-Ciceronian and legal description.
