The aim of this article is to reflect critically on work pertaining to feminist topics published in the Revista Crítica de Ciências Sociais (RCCS) since its foundation in 1978 to the present day. Such a critical outlook, in articulation with the emergent feminist theories from recent decades, will no doubt produce a renewed self‑image for the RCCS as well as the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra, the institution responsible for editing the journal.
