Today, each rural property can have the potential to function as a research unit, given the amount of data collected through equipment installed in the field. In this sense, Precision Agriculture (PA) emerges as a viable agribusiness development alternative. The objective of this study was to present some PA tools, as well as to demystify some concepts related to the theme. The article was written through the understanding and experience of the authors on the subject, based on the Scientifics review. PA is not restricted to sophisticated technologies, and its application brings possibilities of expansion of the agricultural frontiers, especially in Brazil.
