Die Erfahrung der Migration – Literatur als Heimat von Paulina Schulz aus interkultureller Perspektive

Abstract

The experience of migration – Literatur als Heimat by Paulina Schulz from intercultural perspective In this article I have been dealing with the essay by Paulina Schulz Literatur als Heimat (Literature as motherland), in which the author describes her migrational experience. In my article I have used a few crucial/key categories of intercultural German philology. These are the following ones: liminality, alienation and hybridity. They seem to be incredibly useful for describing the author’s experience. First of all I have been trying to answer the questions of how this state of liminality and connected with it ‘being inbetween’ were described by the author during her different phases of living in Germany, how she tried to cope with the feeling of alienation and exclusion and what strategies she used in order to overcome these problems.
