L’art pariétal, objet virtuel de recherche ?
Abstract
Digital technologies are applied in the study of Palaeolithic decorated caves and shelters with increasing success because they offer a 3D rendering of rock walls, visually attractive and accessible to all. The 3D associated with image processing is also used to meet the various constraints of time and space that the conservation of site imposes on researchers. In constant evolution, these technologies also appear as new avenues to manage the documentation, and to constitute databases concerning various scientific disciplines involved in the study of decorated prehistoric sites. Keywords: Paleolithic cave art, rock art recording, digital technologies, image processing, 3D rendering
